As more members with more interests join, I'll be adding more boards and features to the forum! So far, in the short amount of time this huge influx of members has taken place, I have already come up with some ideas on how to improve the site. I plan to add support for on-forum roleplay and some more boards for Yu-Gi-Oh! and other card games, as well as fleshing out some of the other boards, like adding a general discussion board to the Pathfinder category, for example. If I can, I'll find a way to add support for having other genders show besides just male and female, and have more inclusive profile options. Thank you all so much for joining, if you have any suggestions for new features, post them here or make a new topic.
I'm very excited that outofcontextdnd provided so much exposure for this little forum of mine, I hope we can really grow into the thriving community I've imagined!

A new custom text field labeled "gender" has been added to "edit profile" to hopefully add more inclusivity for those who are not male or female.

Mmm, how about a forum for introductions? Should be a nice way to get more people to post, as well as help everyone get to know each other.

The board theme really isn't agreeing with me. I see an option to select from multiple themes build into the profile. Could you enable some variants so that I can find one that's easier to read? I'd really appreciate it

I'd really appreciate it I'll for sure get started on this as soon as possible, thank you for the input! I'll enable some brighter themes and any colors/text options suggested!

How about a way to 'like' a particular post?

All suggestions below made in the best of intentions.
The forum organization feels like it could use some work, namely:
-D&D 1e, D&D 2e, and Old School D&D all feel superflurous. You might be able to get by with "AD&D and OSR", for any <3e editions of D&D as well as newer games meant to emulate them. A lot of stuff is cross-compatible.
-Likewise, lumping 3.5 and PF together might be a good idea.
-General D&D might just want to go to "General Gaming" - how you got into gaming, stuff about gaming equipment, where to play, where to buy games, etc, etc.
-Having multiple recruiting forums seems unnecessary. A lot of people play multiple games! There's no place to recruit for Champions or Call of Cthulhu or whatever. Why not just have a single LFG forum, which also gets more eyes on each thread?
-It feels really weird to have "GURPS", "Call of Cthulhu", and "Other Other". It leads out a lot of MUCH more popular games: FATE, Savage Worlds, Apocalpyse/Dungeon World, White Wolf, etc. Better categories are needed here.
-The little bits of text under the descriptions, while cute, I feel like might lead to a slightly wrong tone. A lot of them are in-jokes that are poking fun at a particular system - which, let's be honest here, ALL systems have stuff to make fun of, but it puts people on edge. Neutral may be better.
-For the Card Games, how about a Living Card Game forum - that covers all of Fantasy Flight Games card games, in particular netrunner?
-Board and non-collectible card games maybe deserve their own forum separated from the current "Other Card Games" ? Namely, grouping Kaijudo and Dominion together seems weird, while putting Dominion and Cataan side by side is more natural.

I'd like a board for Eurogames (the 'genre', not the lgbtq sporting event in Stockholm)
Also, having separate setup areas feels unnecessary or even cumbersome to someone like me who doesn't mind what they're playing. Putting in subforums may be the way to go if you really want different systems to have different spaces (Which is only really necessary if the shear volume of threads requires it). Alternatively, you could split it up by area, though that may be even less useful unless a ton of people appear.

Mmm, how about a forum for introductions? Should be a nice way to get more people to post, as well as help everyone get to know each other. I'll do this ASAP as well! Thank you! This has been remedied somewhat, I have created a new theme called "bright" that should be a bit easier on the eyes. Any suggestions for how to format that are much appreciated! I'm still working on it, so it may be a bit ugly, but it is fully functional.

How about a way to 'like' a particular post? While I've seen that idea implemented in the past, I don't really like it in execution. It makes for a lot of Facebook type stuff, too impersonal for the community feel of the forum that I'm trying to create. Thank you for the suggestion though, if more people ask for this then I'll certainly implement it!

Thank you. I'm currently using the experimental format, but I love it. It's far more intuitive for me and also far easier to read. I thousand times thanks.
