Adeptus Evangelion is a homebrew created by 4chan's /tg/ board of the Neon Genesis Evangelion TV show/Anime/movies/etc that is playable in the Dark Heresy system. Be the child. Pilot a bio-mechanical abomination. Fail to save the world.
Our campaign just ended, so I'm sort of looking back and reminiscing. Anyone else ever tried this? Was the Berserker as imbalanced for you as it was for us?

I'm a little torn. On the one hand, I'm interested in sci-fi and anime-influenced games. On the other hand, 4chan is one of the most horribly toxic places on the internet.
Is there a place to find the files for this that doesn't involve going to 4chan?

You could go through 1d4chan's page on the game (it's a wiki site) Here's the link if you're interested. The link on the page takes you to mediafire pages where you can download the rules. I've downloaded them, so I assure you that they're legit. But honestly, 4chan isn't that bad of a place, especially /tg/. In fact I find that some of the fa/tg/uys are really personable and some pretty creative bastards. It's really /b/ that gets people riled up, but many assume that the other communities must be just as bad. But really, the different areas of 4chan don't often intermingle.

My issue is with Evangelion itself... I mean, usually games based on movies/shows are based on movies/shows where the world still exists after the movie/show is over, you know? It feels weird to re-write a story by having it played out in a game, which I see as the only option in this sort of scenario.
