Hello all, I'm Mairon. I play D&D 3.5/Pathfinder with a decent amount of house rules to make things more logical. I don't play as frequently as I want, but such is life. I like making character sheets for characters in webcomics/anime/cartoons etc. Right now I'm working on some ATLA characters, but I have discovered that it really doesn't translate well.
If you guys want, I can post some of the characters as I work on them.
(Yes, that title is a DS9 reference. Yes, my username is a LotR reference)

ATLA, huh? You might want to look into Exalted or even Anima for a better way to represent them in tabletop gaming! D&D, while a fun system, is very geared towards medieval fantasy, so it's not capable of representing more wuxia/anime/eastern inspired settings.

If you're interested, I built a Zuko Character named Kuzo who happens to act a lot like a firebender. I can share the Sheet here sometime if you care. Its for Pathfinder, using the Pyrokineticist prestige class.

That sounds really interesting! Managing any ATLA character under Pathfinder's a feat in and of itself, so I'm actually really interested to see how you did it!

Its not fully fleshed out since it isn't a player character, but here is the gist of it: Kuuzo the Psion.pdf (364.7 KB) For reference to his abilities, you'll want to look at the following pages Psionic PowersPyrokintecistThe Pyro prestige class could probably be adapted for other elements to make it relatively effective as a bender in general. Change the flavor text on some pison spells, and you have a whole new bending class in pathfinder. Gotta love psionics. |

I like it! The only thing I might do is give Kuuzo one level of Monk for the unarmed strike powers. Otherwise, I really like him! And the Fire Lash ability would be good for waterbenders if the class was appropriately flavored into a hydrokineticist- you're right, this whole class makes a good bender! The only move that would require much changing is Leech Heat, which doesn't make much sense for any bender types; replacing it with a ranged attack doing fire damage and with no healing would probably be the easiest. Waterbenders might get access to Lay on Hands to represent their healing, losing one class ability to do so.

Indeed. Though at first I read that as KUZCO, which would by necessity be a very different character...
