Would anyone feel something for setting up a game of Mouse Guard? It's not too difficult to learn and it's incredibly cute and fun. It seems like a fun system I'd like to try, but haven't found anyone else interested. Seeing the amounts of groups I'm currently running (GM in two LARPs and two D&D games), I'd rather not lead, but honestly I'd be worth it if I could try this system, even as a one-shot thing. So, any takers?

I've seen Mouse Guard comics around in bookstores, but I barely have an idea of setting or the game. However it is super adorable looking and I'd be up for at least trying

I'm interested. I'll go over the rulebook.

I've been a Mouse Guard fan for a long time, and would definitely be interested in playing. I'd also be willing to GM a game, though I'd need to dust off the book and give myself a refresher.

I've heard of Mouse Guard a few times now and it looks pretty interesting.
So yeah, I'd be interested in a game if one gets thrown together.

Wow, this is really going fast. Pascal had offered to GM if no-one wanted to (In Chatzy), but if Martian would want to, that'd be awesome. I think it's best if I give control out to the GM from here on out? Because they'll know how they want to play it?

Martian would be the best choice for GM.
Let's talk about what times we'll be available to play.
I'm Pacific timeszone (gmt - 8:00). I work full time, but I'm free on weekends for any time. I may be able to fit in an hour or two of game after 8pm on workdays, but weekends would be more convenient for me. I'm also trying to see if I can get time off until January.

Live gaming might be a problem for me- I am the closing guy at my store and work almost every night, except for Tuesday. Well, usually Tuesday except for this Tuesday, due to holiday madness scheduling.
I had thought we might be doing it as a PbP, but if we are doing it live, Tuesdays evenings and nights are pretty much all I can do. Good part is, I am awake from 4pm to 4am mountain time, so I am good for a long haul game.

I work full time as well, but I am usually awake until 1am on weekdays anyway. Weekday available hours 9pm-1am PST Weekend pretty much whole day availability
If we all have scheduling issues then a non live game may be a better solution?

The days are no issues for me. I have free time when I need and want it. So both weekdays and weekends work for me, though weekdays are preferred. The problem I bring is that I'm at CET (GMT+1), so I'm 9 hours ahead on Pascal. Although I wouldn't mind staying up late, 8 pm for Pascal would be 5 am for me. That's a tad late/early.
Play by post might be a convenience in this case...

I don't think PbP would be a problem- the game will move a bit slower, but we can post throughout the week. We'll just need to make good use of an OOC thread for all the discussion and such that is pretty critical to the game.
If you four are feeling up to this, I'd say we have a game- four guardsmice makes for a potent team.

Never played PbP before. We can give it a try. It can go wonderfully or fail horribly. For your information, the things I've learned about PbP: * Treat it like a real campaign. It'll feel less real because of less interaction, but if you feel it's not a real campaign, you'll be less likely to check it and participate. Set aside specific time to check every so often (twice daily, once per two days, depending on the group) and really check it then. Also don't wait too long to answer, or you'll lose your place. * Make sure you have the same expectations of checking the forum as the others. It's HIGHLY annoying if you want to continue the story, but the person you're waiting on isn't replying for a week. So the best this is to agree on the same routine. Not so much the same times, as that will be impossible, but the same frequency would be nice. * Get a feel for how far you can take your narration. It's a very careful balance between posting VERY short posts that are more annoying than anything or taking over narration of things you can't decide. You can only write up to that point where you drag along another character, because you'll have to wait for their response. You can somewhat smooth this out by quickly checking on another medium if the other players and/or the GM is okay with what you're doing and thus being able to write a bigger post. With that in mind, it can go great. Also, I'm building a character sheet generator compatible with most big spreadsheet programs. I'm also starting to think about a character, so maybe we should compare what we feel like, once you've all leafed through the rulebook?

I have never played by post either, but definitely willing to give it a try. I'm sometimes a bit flaky (forgetting to check posts, etc), but I know Sethani in real life, so he can kick my ass when I forget something.

Okey doke then, is there a forum on here that I would open up a game and OOC thread? I still haven't looked about, heh...
