And I think that's fair, 13thSyndicate, if there were no disagreements, life would be boring! Though if Tidus is 17, holy shit he looks like he's twenty-five. That's madness. Yeah, if he'd looked more his age there would have been fewer issues. And Moonjuice... you have a point and I concede it. FF6 had slipped my mind, but of the three possible choices for main protagonist- Terra, Locke, and Celes- Terra and Celes come out in the clear lead. Terra is the first character you control and her defining quest for self-discovery- and what she eventually does with that information- makes up a significant portion of the game. While she fades in relevance towards the end, this is matched with Celes becoming more and more relevant, to the point the World of Ruin starts with her as the only playable character. Locke I have seen thrust forward as the "protagonist", but considering that he is frankly irrelevant to the plot after rescuing Terra (to the point that getting him is a sidequest later on), I'd argue almost anyone is a better candidate. I think he's put forward because, as the first male character, most gamers named him after themselves and played it like that, instead of seeing the story as it really is.

(Still me, still lazy)
Actually, pardon - YUNA is 17, Tidus I think is 18, not sure if he's older than her or not. Rikku is, legit, 16, and I think Lulu is the one who's 25 or so. They all look a lot older than they are. But yeah... a lot of people forget that Tidus is a spoiled brat teenager with daddy issues. No wonder he whines a lot!
(On another subject, the same goes for FFXIII's Hope... he's 14. People who say he's too whiny obviously don't remember being 14.)
